How DECA Competition Works
Choose Your Event
Members select a competitive event that aligns with their major or interest — from Digital Marketing to Entrepreneurship to Organizational Leadership.
Prepare & Practice
Chapter workshops and study sessions help members master performance indicators and practice case study presentations with peers and the advisor.
Compete at State
Members travel to the MN Collegiate DECA Career Development Conference to compete against peers from across the state. Top finishers advance.
Advance to ICDC
State winners represent SMSU and Minnesota at the International Career Development Conference — the national championship of collegiate DECA.
